In accordance with part of our union’s mission to fight for racial justice and for immigrant rights, SEIU 503 may provide one-time financial assistance. The recipient must be a member, spouse, partner, household member or child of the member to receive funds.
The purpose of IMAF is to support active members who wish to advance or protect their immigration status: Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Green Card, or Naturalization.
Applicants, whether approved or not, will receive a list of additional resources.
This assistance may be available to active members in good standing:
- Who find themselves, their partner/spouse, or a member of their household in immigration custody or facing deportation.
- Whose children have been separated from their parents and are being cared for by family members.
- Who wish to advance their immigration status and who do not have the means to pay for the necessary fees.
Immediate family members may apply on behalf of an eligible applicant identified above.
